The Purina Fancy Feast concept launched in 1982 for a growing number of cat owners who wanted to pamper their cats. A first-of-its-kind offering: an indulgent, gourmet single serve 3.0 oz. can.
1984
Get in the feastivities spirit
The Fancy Feast brand begins issuing an annual holiday ornament in the U.S. and Canada. The ornament soon becomes a popular holiday tradition. In 2020, Fancy Feast would build on the holiday celebrations with the release of its first Advent Calendar.
1987
Mon Petit in Japan
The Mon Petit brand officially launches in Japan, its first market in Asia.

Distinctly European
Fancy Feast launched in Europe under the Gourmet brand and it resonated strongly with European cat owners.
