LuLu & Nestlé encourage Kids in the UAE to adopt a Fruit & a Vegetable

LuLu & Nestlé Encourage Children in the UAE to Adopt a Fruit, Adopt a Vegetable
Back to Press releases

Running since 2017 as part of the Nestlé for Healthier Kids initiative, “Adopt a Fruit, Adopt a Vegetable” is returning to seven LuLu flagship stores in the United Arab Emirates from November 19-28 to inspire kids to eat a healthier diet that includes fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, and protein.

Kids will be educated about nutrition facts through fun and engaging activities led by nutritionists, and the availability of special trolleys that encourage varied food shopping.

“We are keen to inspire Kids to make healthy food choices and are committed to supporting parents in their quest to promote healthy diets and lifestyles for their children,” said Yasmine Berbir, Nestlé General Business Manager in the UAE. “We are happy to collaborate with LuLu to help children change their eating behavior right at the supermarket where food choices are made.”

Evidence* from various research indicates that children will adopt healthier eating habits if educated about nutritious food options and inspired how to choose for themselves.

Parents will also get a chance to win a fruits and vegetables voucher from LuLu with the purchase of items from Nestlé’s range of products for children, which includes dairy, cereal, and soup brands such as Nido, Gerber, Cerelac, and MAGGI.

One of Nestlé’s key published commitments to society is to further provide nutritionally sound products designed for children, with nearly 40 offerings in that range currently available in the Middle East and North Africa.
